Regarding Layers:

beaudet commented 6 years ago

Assuming features such as adding images to a canvas and modifying images on a canvas are not going to be part of initial Mirador 3.0 scope, it would be good to understand how a plugin designed to perform these functions would be seamlessly added into the application and how the design supports such extension points (without having to create a completely different layers dialog).

@mikeapp:

Some consideration should be given to how to set the initial state of an annotation via the manifest (behavior hidden, CSS, ?)

Can you expand on this? Does the spec allow for a manifest to indicate the desired initial state of an annotation (if so, can you point out where)?

Assuming the user can adjust opacity and perhaps even change the Z-order of the images on a Canavs, an option to 'reset' to initial state could be helpful.

Yep, will do.

@beaudet: Your comment seems like a distinct requirement so we've created #18 to keep track of it.

Initial state is going to be part of the Import to Viewers work in the Discovery TSG and is currently not specified in a stable way. It would be great if Mirador developers could participate actively in these discussions.
