1 year ago I have the same problem. I went onto another world to get some resources and left the world while the traveler tried to show up. The traveler followed me to my other world and won't stop showing up at night. Also if I load up a multiplayer world, my screen gets put at the bottom of the world (I don't have a bed spawn point)
Mod list: Starlight River, Calamity, Thorium, Basic Automated Mining, Better Zoom, Wing Slot, Census-Town NPC Checklist, Boss Checklist.

Issue Description
When the bird traveler first showed up in my world (Singleplayer; Large; Expert mode) I had died to a boss and alt-tabbed out of the game, which then caused, after exhausting the dialog windows of the traveler, for the light blue screen effect to stay in my world permanently, as if the event had not ended. When reloading the world the traveler shows up again as if it were the first time, but instead of saying the normal dialog it says "Funny seeing you here [...]", disappears and the screen effect persists.
Reproduction
I'm simply not certain on how I had this happen yet I'll explain what happened in case you might be able to reproduce it. Died to the squid boss in the ice caves structure, tabbed out of the game before respawning, had the bird traveler spawn while tabbed out, tabbed back in and exhausted the dialog. Mod list: Worldgen previewer, recipe browser, quality of life, calamity, thorium, heart crystal and life fruit glow, the stars above, subworld library, dragon ball terraria, starlight river, WMITF, auto trash, alchemist NPC, ore excavator, magic storage, absolute aquarian utilities, boss checklist. OS: Windows 10
