The presence of the Prismatic Water at the bottom of the arena is indicated in some fashion, even with the option turned off
Actual behavior
Prismatic Water is not drawn or indicated at all. Specific to the Auroracle arena, the water at the bottom of the arena is completely invisible, making combat awkward if one falls into the waters. Naturally generated patches of Prismatic Water don't suffer from this issue.
Reproduction
Go to the Auroracle arena, and head to the bottom with the option "High Quality Lit Textures" disabled under Graphics.
