Unhandled exception: root element missing

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. I had some windows issues and lost some .NET files?  I'm not sure ;;

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I get a Microsoft .NET Framework error.  "Unhandled exception has occured
... Root element is missing"

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
1.5.6 - with Windows 7 x64bit  I tried installing the latest .NET
framework: dotNetFx40_Full_setup.exe

Please provide any additional information below.

jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging

Looks like the config file got corrupted or something. Go to the location 
specified in the first line of the error and delete the user.config file. 
Restart KParser and update any prefs. Alternately, if it has the same problem 
(due to trying to upgrade from a broken previous config file), just delete the 
1.5.2 (and any previous) folders.
