Very interesting monte carlo grid free approach to model steady state transport in the SOL, using techniques borrowed from computer graphics. Can handle very complex 3D geometries (eg. stellarators divertors). Written in Julia. Scales on GPUs. Solution in few seconds. Contact person is Adelle Wright at U. Wisconsin.

Definitely something to look more into!!
