Development Environment? #10

OK guys, I'm interested. after extensive Googling cannot locate Geophyte, which I presume is an Xilinx FPGA development system. And, are the microSD cards vaporware at this point, or, can they also be acquired and programmed?

Thanks Bill Ross (Engineer)

microsd-artix We hope to be ready in about two weeks. The FPGA is A50T, this is smaller as on geophyte, but the geophyte code fits into A50T also (without optimizations).

Thanks Antti;

Can you suggest which development board I should procure and, any additional hardware. Links … I am very interested in this as I am sure the security community at large is.

Regards;

Bill Ross

@AnttiLukats Nice!

Update: the PCB is in production now. The board as pictured has given product code TE0747 :) and was submitted to PCB fabrication today. There are plenty of "general purpose" FPGA boards available but not of them can be used "as is out of the box". I will push this ready to use microSD platform as much as I can, but it is probably close to two weeks before we have it ready for first shipments.

Where and when it will be possible to order hardware ? I am interested in other applications on microSD form factor FPGA. Will this PCB be open for modifications like connecting with separate chip over UART or other interfaces ?

Hi, this microSD FPGA plaform has been submitted to Hackaday Prize 2015 https://hackaday.io/project/7136-secure-microsd-vault actual manufacturing will be done by Trenz Electronic GmbH http://www.trenz-electronic.de/products/fpga-boards/trenz-electronic.html you can send email with inquiry for "TE0747" We will get plenty of PCB from first PCB order, but we do not know how many we will assembly in fhe first batch, as the FPGA's with correct price take long time to arrive, if we by them quickly we pay way too much so we do not want to order too many components with too high price. Initial protos will be assembled with A35T, later A50T version would be available too.
