Suggestion for the lists of unintegrated signatures in Pronto #79

This is a suggestion for the lists of unintegrated signatures in Pronto, thinking of spending (curation) time in the most useful stuff first, prioritising better:

-right now we can either see all unintegrated signatures (for whichever db) or only those with (any kind of) relationships; as discussed in the curation stand up it would be nice to be able to filter to see only those without relationships (at the moment the only way is having the full list and actually check the entry to see if by chance it doesn't have relationships-as the full list doesn't say wich ones are them-Typhaine explained for performance)- that's option 1

-my additional request would be being able to filter for signatures that don't have relationships with integrated entries (it doesn't matter not having relationships at all or having them only with unintegrated signatures -I think integrating any/all of those first will help us increase coverage in InterPro-) - option 2

please let me know if/what's possible/worth it :)

This is possible, but do you need to get the list of unintegrated signatures without predicted relationships and unintegrated signatures without predicted relationships with integrated signatures?

The former is a subset of the latter. As you mentioned, it doesn't really matter if a query signature has no predicted relationships or predicted relationships with unintegrated signatures only. What's important is that it is significantly different from anything already integrated (so integrating it will increase InterPro's coverage).

That was exactly my second point, a list of signatures that are "significantly different from anything already integrated" to prioritise this (even just after member database updates that'd be very useful I think); sorry if I didn't explain correctly 😇

the first point is, as I understood, easier, as it's just having the list of "all signatures that don't appear when ticking Display signatures with predicted relationships only" (personally I'd like at least option 1, but ideally option 2... or both^^ -no idea how much work this implies)

Having both options is possible without additional work (or a negligible amount).

Instead of an on/off option (Display signatures with predicted relationships only), there will be three options:

Predicted relationships:

The With option will show all signatures with at least one predicted relationship, regardless of the integrated status of the target signatures (integrated/unintegrated) or the nature of the relationship (similar, parent, etc.).

Does that seem good to you?

That sounds perfect to me yes! :D

@blazaropinto: done & deployed.

Thanks a lot Matthias!! :))
