Hi ProtoScholl team @terichadbourne

We'd like to start a ProtoSchool chapter for Chengdu, China.

I'm Max, the technical lead in Vena Network (https://vena.network/en.html), we are building an open protocol for tokenized asset financing and exchange, we have our working product of Vena Bao and VenaPi wallet, also VenaPi has become one of the largest Dapp browser in Tron.

Vena has a team of 40 people, with more than half of the team members are developers. We are based in Chengdu and we have set up a technical union of more than 100 developers and technical enthusiasts. We often organize technical meetups and events, for example, we co-held technical communication with well-known Dharma protocol ( https://twitter.com/VenaProtocol/status/1029645965752328192).

We have rich experience in technical communication and holding events, and we are very enthusiastic about IPFS and really would like to start a ProtoSchool chapter for Chengdu, China. Futhermore, in Vena Protocol, we have Jury Network to deal with transaction disputes and all the relative evidence of dispies will be saved via nodes of IPFS. Also we have designed decentralized identity authentication, the DID document also used IPFS for data storage and search. Our VenaPi is the one of the largest Dapp entrance in Tron, and we would like to promote IPFS to UGC-type dapps to contribute to IPFS ecosystem.

@maxisacoder My apologies for the delay in getting back to you, as I've taken some time to consult with my colleagues who are more familiar with the business and legal landscape in China before responding.

Given the sensitive nature around the legality of exchanges or decentralized exchange protocols in China, we do not feel comfortable having ProtoSchool chapters associated with them. If you as an individual, rather than a representative of the company, would like to organize a chapter, we'd need to ensure that your chapter events would not advertise Vena Network or mention Vena Network as a sponsor or host. Since ProtoSchool emphasizes decentralized web protocols and is not directly related to crytpocurrencies (we only have content on IPFS, not on Filecoin, for example), it might not be the best fit for Vena Network to sponsor regardless.

I'm so sorry for the awkwardness here and do hope you understand.
