New Chapter Request - Nairobi #48

Introduce Yourself I'm Sonia and I've been an IPFS enthusiast for as long as I can remember. I'm working with Afrolynk Factory24 to provide a platform for young Africans to develop tech skills through bootcamps & training by offering mentoring sessions and workshops. We currently offer developers opportunities to learn IoT, Blockchain and want to increase that scope to the Decentralized Web specifically IPFS/IPLD/libPp2p/Multiformats. We have Factory24 locations in four countries, Ghana, Zimbabwe, Kenya & Tunisia. We want to set the first ProtoSchool in Nairobi and expand to other the locations within the year.

Co-Organizers Collaborators will be added in due time.

What geographic area will your ProtoSchool chapter serve? Nairobi, Kenya

What should we call your repo? Nairobi.

How should Code of Conduct violations within your chapter be reported? Code violations should be reported to realchainlife@protonmail.com.

@realChainLife So exciting to see interest in a ProtoSchool chapter in Nairobi! I'll start working on getting a chapter repo set up for you. Hope to tackle this within the next couple of days.

@realChainLife Thanks again for volunteering to organize a local chapter!

I've set up a basic nairobi repo for you and given you admin privileges. I've also added you to our chapter-organizers team and the nairobi team you can use to communicate with your members.

Please see the issue queue in your chapter repo for a few final steps that need to be taken in order to get your repo finalized and your chapter listed on our website. Once those steps are complete, we'll close out this setup issue.

@realchainlife Thanks for submitting the pull request to add your chapter to our website. I've just merged the PR, so you should soon see your chapter appear at https://proto.school/#/chapters. Should you decide in the future to add a website for your chapter (which you can easily do from your repo with GitHub Pages), please be sure to update the chapters.json file to include a website field with your website URL. This will update the link in our chapter listings. I'll close this issue now, but don't hesitate to reach out with questions.
