Introduce Yourself Hi team, I wish to initiate a ProtoSchool chapter in Singapore. I am Yuming, a PhD student focusing on research in Blockchain systems and economic models. I have been studying Filecoin and IPFS research for two years. To reduce the cost of Asian developers, I coauthored the IPFS Book with @tianyidong and @daijiale.

When I joined the IPFS CAMP in Barcelona, I have been very excited that ProtoSchool volunteers assist developers globally on the education of Filecoin and IPFS. Hope I can help with local developers on this new technology.

Co-Organizers Up to now, I have no local coorganizers. But look for valuable suggestions from Hong Kong Chapter @kk3wong and Beijing Chapter @tianyidong.

I've set up a basic singapore repo for you and given you admin privileges. (If you haven't already seen the invite, please visit https://github.com/ProtoSchool/singapore/invitations.) I've also added you to our chapter-organizers team and the singapore team you can use to communicate with your members.

Please see the issue queue in your chapter repo for a few final steps that need to be taken in order to get your repo finalized and your chapter listed on our website. Once those steps are complete, we'll close out this setup issue.

Hi there! Just reaching out to ensure you've seen the announcement on our new event-based community model for ProtoSchool, which replaces our chapter-based model. With the implementation of this new system, you'll no longer need the repo I set up for you, so I'll delete it shortly (I see that you haven't added any content).

Under the new event-based model, hosting ProtoSchool workshops is easier than ever. Please check out our readme for all the details you need to get started. (Safety comes first, of course, so please refer to guidance from your local health authorities around COVID-19 before scheduling any gatherings.)
