track sponsors #115

Recording the two sponsoring members in The Great Member Database In The Sky is the first step in any sort of invite tree, training/mentor/responsibility/compensation or other functionality that seems to be regularly discussed as we grow through our pains.

I am unfamiliar with the admin side of signup and vetting process, but imagine this would involve requiring whoever sets the member's status to "vetted" and/or provides a keycard to input the names of two currently active members into two really picky textboxes.

This information should not be publicly viewable, probably (although anyone could rifle through the forms right now?) until a motion is formulated for the membership to agree upon how this information is to be used, someday, in the Proto-future.

My only add would be it doesn't need to be transcribed at all: a button/link on any unvetted member page (as viewed by a logged-in vetted member): "Sponsor me!", prompts a modal to enter a reason eg 'worked on saturday cleanup together, not a jerk'. and a finalize button 'I agree that I am digitally signing a sponsorship for full membership of xyz'. Perhaps include a small warning that you should have met/interacted/engaged with said member.

Total aside, I've wanted to add for a while, that 'two' is an arbitrary number of sponsors. I would posit that 2 is the minimum to get vetted in 28 days. Each additional sponsor reduces that by a week, down to a minimum 7 or 14 days...if 4 people think you're awesome, you get your keys in 2 weeks. (makes it easier for returning members to get signed back off.)
