Horipad ultimate controller thumbsticks not working on nes

Testing the controller on super Mario bros for nes the left thumbstick is not working properly , I push it right and Mario walks and stops , pushing left doesn't move Mario , pushing up makes Mario go right The d-pad works fine

I tested other nes games like street fighter 2010 and I see the same problem , the thumsticks work fine on sega and Super Nintendo games , is only on nes that I see this problem

Can somebody who has the horipad ultimate controller test super Mario bros on nes , test the left thumbstick

This is a new controller so I want to make sure the problem is not hardware

Are you using the latest code? There were some changes to analogue controllers recently.

I reinstalled provenance on July 13

And under settings it says

Version : 1.2.7 (425) MODE: RELEASE

@jaserian I just tested the nimbus controller and it has the same problem too on Mario nes

i forgot to add this is on the apple tv

Where can i find the latest Version of Provenance i have 1.2.6 i saw above that there is 1.2.7 now and does 1.2.7s iCade work?

Support for iCade controllers in Provenance has never been great. Best to use a controller that is actually made for iOS.

Anyway, if you don't have a Mac and Xcode, there is less support provided via github, for obvious reasons.

Just checking in to see if this has been fixed. I'm thinking about getting a Nimbus or HoriPad Ultimate to use with Provenance on my ATV4 but wanted to wait until I could for sure play SMB. :)

@Anderw112288: iCade controllers are supported, but they controllers have issues yet to be resolved well, since they are virtually keyboard input hacks predating MFi (at least the 8bitdo one s are), and have limitations like not being to play with two of them (apple only allows one keyboard connection) or simultaneously with an MFi controller (current bug oft reported).. had to check what a horipad ultimate controller is and it looks MFi to me, so please keep the threa on topic there is plenty of iCad related posts in Issues (now being managed by this ticket: #741 (iCade Rehaul).

I don't think this has been fixed, but would be great if a horipad owner updated this thread with a confirmation against a recent dev branch build. I would do it but I don't have that controller.. @appletv4 could you run a new test?
