There is no standard key for Anti-boss function, everyone has their
preferences. The bug with lost icons is seems to be a bug of Qt.

Tray icon works fine with KDE 4.4.5 + Qt 4.6.3. May be it is tint2 bug? What is
your Qt version?

Tint2 version 0.11 with default config and kwin WM works fine for me. I used
'kbuildsycoca4 && kquitapp plasma-desktop', 'tint2', 'kstart plasma-desktop'
for testing.
Are you able to reproduce problem or we close issue?
