Impossible to update Proxy Helper Tool #1995

Cannot update Proxy Helper Tool

  1. Open Settings, Advanced tab
  2. See Proxy Helper Tool message "Need to update to version 1.6.0"
  3. Update Proxy Helper Tool
  4. See update message has disappeared
  5. Go to General tab and then back to Advanced
  6. See update message appeared again

Can you uninstall it first, then install it again?

You can manually delete it at: /Library/PrivilegedHelperTools/com.proxyman.NSProxy.HelperTool
