I suspect this is just #1759 appearing again since the Cool Whip was changed in the Labor of Love update to inflict Frostbite instead of Frostburn, as well as Summon Tag.
Obtain a Cool Whip
Attack an enemy (in our case, this occurred when attacking a Lava Slime on the Upside Down special seed, but I doubt it matters)
You are kicked with a message of the form YourPlayerNameHere was force kicked for 'added buff to ThatNpcNameHere npc abnormally'
The server continues normally and the player can rejoin without issue. They'll be kicked again if they attack an enemy with the Cool Whip again.
