Check obsolescence of nearest-neighbour distance #20

Added a test for this distance functor in 689597aea06c2b1fc315f7b8fe7025edc1d85274. At least it is being used now, even though its significance is of course debatable (maybe it might be useful as a lower bound on the Wasserstein distance or something).
