I'll see if I can convert it in the coming week.
This is really good news, I also hope that 7 beta can use this plug-in.
Look forward to it!
Will it be ready soon? Look forward to it too.
Hi there, Zotero 7 is out and the plugin is not compatible. Is there an ETA on this? Can we help?
No ETA. I'm swamped and picking up stuff when I can.
At some point I will need help with testing. Right now what is needed is javascript knowledge + zotero knowledge + html knowledge + time + elbow grease.
I know people are looking forward to this. It doesn't help me to repeat this. I have 4+ extensions that need a zotero 7 overhaul and incoming bug reports on my main plug-in. And a family, a job, a band, training. Too few hours in the day.
I totally understand, same here. I'll try to fork it and look into how it works. I'll send a PR if I can figure things out.
Feel free to shoot me questions. I probably know what needs to be done, it's just that sitting down and debugging code takes time.
Unfortunately the issue persists - over one month later - after the now full release of Zotero 7.0. Does anybody have a fix available?
I'm working on it. Most runs.

This update may name other issues, but the build just dropped here is for you; it just means problems already fixed in other issues have been folded into the work we are doing here. Install in Zotero by downloading test build 0.0.16.49.69, opening the Zotero "Tools" menu, selecting "Add-ons", open the gear menu in the top right, and select "Install Add-on From File...".
Hey @retorquere - thanks for all your work on this. I tried the test build 0.0.16. I get these errors on install:
A pubpeer column does appear but no comments are shown. A "check for comments on PubPeer" does appear in the right click menu, and it does check for a DOI, but it does not return any comments even for an article that I can see comments on online (this one - with these comments)
Hope this helps!
there's a "send debug log to file.io" option in the help menu, please use that.
Please generate it while that entry is selected in Zotero. That will give me a copy of that item, and I need to know what is in your library to replicate.
Okay - sent 2 debug logs to fileio for you. First just with the item selected. Second - when I used the right click menu to ask pub peer for comments from the article above!
I need to know the IDs. Without them I can't retrieve the logs.
But I think I have the problem reprodicible
Here are the IDs: QPYHC5JS-fio-WvtTC76EIOSf H5EP29P2-fio-47eTPXf0W1rQ

@narath can you test whether this solves your issue?
Hey @retorquere, okay - it can retrieve them. I get this alert when I request that it check pubpeer:
The columns in the article list remains blank however:
And I see this in the developer console

@narath I need the DOI to replicate the issue
@retorquere - here it is 10.1056/NEJMoa2034577
I cannot replicate this problem. Please turn on debug logging in the Help menu, reproduce the problem, then "send to file.io" from the help menu
@retorquere - okay, restarted Zotero with debug logging. Here's the ID 7UFM9FK8-fio-TT8QjoXtHRZL
To reiterate - pubpeer is working in the info panel (i.e. right hand side), but the counts are not showing up in the PubPeer comment in the library items column.
Here's a screenshot of what is not working:

Oh I think I already fixed this in 1.0.2. Can you install the regular 1.0.2 and test?
I think this is a really important plugin for Zotero and for helping us all to know how the thinking has evolved from the time of publication and especially if papers we are citing have issues or been retracted.
I'm using Zotero 7.0 - beta which has some great new features (the integrated readers are great).
Unfortunately it looks like the current XPI is not compatible with this.
