Add release badge #20

Saw we could add a badge with the release number, so why not? There are other badges that we can add too, although this is the only one I thought might be useful for now.

The README is created in the .Rmd file and automatically generates the .md one. Would you mind adding it into the .Rmd file and knitting, rather than editing the .md one directly? It'll probably necessitate being off the network.

Like the idea though! Will wait until it's merged to do the 0.1.1 release.

Have moved the code to the .Rmd file - can you have a go at knitting?

I updated pandoc to version 2.7.3, and it knits successfully now. Happy to approve and merge now 👍
