Follow up to say that I resolved this issue by removing my Java Runtime Environment installation and re-installing to the latest available JRE version.
Bedrock Connect is functioning normally now and my Switch players can connect.
What happened?
I have successfully been using Bedrock Connect to allow our Switch onto a locally hosted Bedrock server for a while now but the most recent release to accommodate Minecraft 1.19.80 seems to be having an issue for me and the Minecraft client produces an error when I select a default server that is associated with Bedrock Connect.
After selecting a default server Minecraft loads for a few seconds and then produces an error on a dirt block background that says "Trouble Receiving Player Data. If this continues please report issue to Bedrock Connect GitHub"
Expected Behaviour?
After selecting a default server I expect Minecraft to display a custom server list that allows me to connect to local Bedrock server
Steps to reproduce.

Nintendo Switch
Additional Context
I attempted to restart the Switch and all servers and tried connect multiple times. I also reviewed all my other settings but cannot find what might be wrong. I am running Bedrock Connect and my own DNS server via Umleitung.
Additionally there does not seem to be any error messages that I can see logged to the Bedrock Connect console - from my end it doesnt even look like the Switch connected to Bedrock Connect but I can see the console make DNS queries to Umleitung and I received the error message that references Bedrock Connect so I know its working in some capacity.
