What happened?

I have tried this service on mobile and PC on the same network and it works as intended. When I try to use this on Xbox, it simply doesn’t do anything, with the same settings and everything.

Expected Behaviour?

Redirect to serverlist

Steps to reproduce.

Change dns and connect

My buddy has encountered this issue today as well. We already added our server to multiple xbox’s and pc’s except one of them and today was the day we were gonna get it set up, yet it won’t allow him.

I too am experiencing similar behaviour, I've tried multiple DNSs' on xbox, and have changed my routers DNS once in an attempt to get it to work. No matter what it is redirecting me to the intended featured server rather than the bedrock connect servers. I have done multiple xbox restarts too.

Try connecting to a different server.

Does your ISP provide you an IPv6 address? If so, your Xbox is performing DNS lookups via your ISP's assigned IPv6 DNS server thus bypassing your custom DNS. You will need to run a Bedrock Connect instance locally, then it will show up in Minecraft in the friends tab.

My ISP does not assign IPv6 addresses, so I don't know why this is happening.

I would say you'll have to wait for your console's DNS cache to clear but it's been a month so I imagine that would have happened already. Xbox seems to be extremely problematic though so I reiterate the second part of my previous comment that you'll have to run a local Bedrock Connect instance. You do have a PC so unless you host a Bedrock server on it it shouldn't be an issue. This is what I recommend to people on my server who want to join via Xbox.
