3 years ago Hi, Happy that it is of some use to you. The idea is really good and I wondered already if there was a way to do this. But I cannot do it now for several reason. The two main ones being:
- I'm super busy working on other scripts.
- I won't work on this addon again while the
trianglelibraries is not ported by it's author to newer version of python. Blender 2.93+ use python 3.9 which is not compatible with the library I use for tesselation (so the addon works only with blender 2.92-)
All that said, I really appreciate your feedback and kind words. I'll see if I can work on it again in the future.

I prefer the tessellation of your addon tbh.
This is an example of a surface I created with a tiled color id map:
Is it possible to create the tessellation on the surface with the topology creating edge loops where the colors meet? I am guessing it might be too much calculation to create so many edge loops based on the tiling with the surface tessellated so maybe the untiled one would be more doable?
