6 months ago Apologies for the delay. We are not including BCorps or public benefit corporations at this time for general purposes; only including US 501(c) recognized organizations, or specific public charities or the like as recognized in other legal jurisdictions.
🎉 Yay! Our first contribution! One question: does RESF plan to seek 501C* non-profit status in the future, or is that not a goal? The original intention was to provide a metadata directory of non-profit organizations, since typically normal corporations have plenty of opportunities to do their own marketing, and are focused on their own goals, not the greater good for the public. However I see you're seeking some form of public benefit corporation status, so I'm wondering if we need to figure out how to codify exactly what kind of public benefit that status guarantees, and find a way to make clear we include those organizations too.
