The game has an issue with the main menu changing to the demo too quickly. Reducing cycles can help a bit, but it might risk performance in-game (486DX 66 MHz is recommended, and there's a detail option called Pentium). So only cpu_max_year: 1995 is set. It's not too much of a problem, you just have to input quickly on the menu
DOSC has Sound Blaster config, increased detail, and auto start, plus options for General MIDI, Setup, and the Ship Editor
