When I put in my IP address all I get is

Deploy the OVA to my vSphere stack, give it an IP and then when I bring up IP in the browser I get NGINX generic splash screen and no FlashStache

Let me double check - I could have sworn we added a setup script to the OVA so you can set the IP information where it belongs - but I'll run through again without using the "right" IP address.

I tried in two different datacenters and everything in setup.sh runs just fine but when I go to my IP in browser http://192.168.0.20 I get "Welcome to nginx on Fedora"

I figured out the issue with not loading the website in the browser for the OVA, had to go into the already configured nginx.conf and change the IP to the one I assigned to the OVA. Now I am having issue clicking on Open Dashboard, nothing is displaying. Really want to use this tool. I did load up mysql and the database has data

Sorry for not being able to get on top of this sooner - I have time Wednesday (tomorrow) slated for testing this and getting it working as an interrupt for my normal workday - I'll try to make sure we have a useful config script that sets the IP's for you as well, so you don't have to do this manually - but I'll report back here by thursday afternoon at the latest with results.

Just an update: Reproduced the issue, and I've got a real setup script that I'm continuing testing on - it'll simplify the setup to just running the script and that should take care of all of the underlying changes necessary. Will continue working on this tomorrow.

Another update here - I've got it pulling data and the script is working as expected, and am doing some more testing - but I'm not reproducing the blank columns yet - This may be an issue with time differencing in the graphana GUI vs. server time - we had to ply a few strange workarounds for that in the past, and I suspect it's just rearing it's ugly head in another way.

The script itself is fairly simple - after you've made sure the IP is the one you want, just run this script and it'll update the IP reference in the nginx.conf and restart the services.

# Get host IP address and trim out spaces.
hostname=$(hostname -I | sed -e 's/[[:space:]]*$//')

# Update nginx server to point correctly to the new IP address for incoming requests.
sudo sed -i -e "s/server_name \d+.*/server_name=$hostname/g" /etc/nginx/nginx.conf

# Restart the nginx/uwsgi services.
systemctl restart nginx
systemctl restart uwsgi

The problem is that somewhere in this process (or before), the queue for processing the metrics isn't being populated any longer, and that portion of the troubleshooting is a bit more intricate because we're sending the requests to a queue (So it doesn't have to all happen in series one at a time). Rest assured, we'll get it figured out.

If you're not super attached to the Centos VM, you can install the Ubuntu branch from source and it runs swimmingly after configuring the IP information - but that's not a fix, it'd just be an alternative if you're in a time crunch for this running.

1. Restart the services since you've already changed the nginx.conf
2. cd into the FlashStash directory and run the start.sh script
3. Disable monitoring for the array you've configured and save
4. Re-enable monitoring for the array you've configured and save
5. Go back into the dashboard, and click "today so far" in the timeframe on the top right

Let me know what the results are - that fixed it for me in testing.

The data populated the next day it was working. I had to uncheck that Annotations check box to stop getting that error.
