This feature could be improved to specify the range of expiry dates but I do not believe its severity is medium as it should not happen too often as one would want to replace items only when it is close to the expiry date.

The report command allows users to be able to see which items are close to expiry, the default is within 1 week of expiry.
As a user, I might want to be able to specify the length of which an item is close to expiring, like 1 month or 3 days. It is not necessarily the case that the user would only want to view items that are expiring in one week, they may need to see items that are expiring in other timeframes as well depending on their needs. Only having the option to show items that are expiring within one week might be limiting to the user.
The only way for users to see items that are expiring in, lets say 1 month, users have to resort to using the find command to list items by its expiry date, and manually look through the list, which may be inconvenient to the user especially for larger size lists.
Severity is set to medium as this listing items that are close to expiring can be a frequent task done by supermarkets, and not having the freedom to define what is "close to expiry" may be incontinent to the user.
