I'm uploading the error message in this description panel.

I'm getting an error

It's not "error", it's a warning that a bugged malware is detected aka Chrome.

I think it detected an bug, so kindly check it out and fix the issue.

The bugged malware is on your computer, so it's up to you to fix it. Install a secure browser which follows the good practices.

As a temporary fix you can install Violenmonkey, fix will work till VM will be banned or till it reverts to MV3 bugs/"features". But I strongly recommend you to uninstall that Chrome ASAP.

Chromium-based browsers are transitioning to Manifest V3, while Firefox is not. As this script is based on Manifest V2, it is recommended to switch to a non Chromium-based browser. Is that right ? This, I can understand.

But then I have two questions :

  1. What technically makes the script slower ? Do these browsers now handle MV2 differently ?
  2. Why not port this script to MV3 ? Is it technically impossible, or is that too much of a hassle ?

As this script is based on Manifest V2...

No, userscripts are not based on any manifests.

What technically makes the script slower ? Do these browsers now handle MV2 differently ?

Chrome/Chromium makes it slow. Google will disable MV2 so it can push on to you more ads, Firefox says that it will not.

is recommended to switch to a non Chromium-based browser. Is that right ?

Yes.

Why not port this script to MV3 ? Is it technically impossible, or is that too much of a hassle ?

Read the first answer. I guess you don't understand what that MV3 is. Do you know a country named North Korea? That's what MV3 aka google mangling with www standards is.

An "early" enlightenment that google mangles with the www standards like they own the internet: chrome-is-the-new-ie6

Funny that the author himself jumped from one virus to another, when the good browsers at the time of chrome introduction were Opera and Firefox. :D
