I don't know if it connects anywhere/where it connects to though. Definitely doable with a single UI update
I checked the code for this and it doesn't seem to exist at a quick glance. This is very convenient to have IMO, especially for quickly-written puzzles which might often end up with alternate plausible-seeming answers, or for puzzles for newer solvers where clue phrases might be good to have as partials to confirm that the solver is on the right track.
