Title of the talk Genetic Algorithm - GA

Description The session will be focused on one type of evolutionary algorithms called GA. I will cover the following:-

  • Maximize the output of a given equation
  • Find the fastest route between two points
  • Will try to cover both, if possible

Prerequisites

Duration An interesting 😎 session of about 70-80 minutes discussing and showing how real-life biological processes can be used to evolve software.

Hey Sam,

Thanks for making an issue for the talk proposal. Yours talk line seems awesome to me. I would like to know more about the details like what all you will cover under GAs.

Hey @mayankskb ,

I will start with an intuitive example of why GA is required, then will cover Darwin's law's which will be followed by the description of the algorithm itself (steps in the algorithm and how those steps are performed using examples) and wrapping it up by code walkthrough.

This is a high-level overview of the entire talk, depending on the time will either demonstrate both the code examples or one. I will try to keep the talk between 70-80 minutes, but if possible I will need a whiteboard to explain the algorithmic steps (please see to this!!).

Hey Shaksham,

I am interested in your talk, looks like this month only you delivered it to Python Pune. IS it fine with you that we will have your talk onboard next month??

Sure, next month works perfectly. I will update the content as well so that there is no to less repetition from what I took at python Pune. If you want the same talk to be delivered, then I am okay with that as well.

It depends on you. I am not much aware of what you delivered at Python Pune.

Okay, then I will prepare accordingly for the next month's meetup. It will mostly be the stuff that I have already mentioned in this issue, might be few addons.

Hey @mayankskb ,

Can you please confirm if there will be a meetup this month? If yes, then an approximate schedule? As we discussed we want to have this talk scheduled for the coming meetup, so I have to plan accordingly.

We will not have a talk based session this month. However, we have one scheduled for Oct 05, 2019. Please share your availability for the same.
