Why are wavelet daubechies not supported in the CWT algorithm? #750

Hello everyone! In the version of Matlab R2016a I did some work implementing the daubechies wavelet in the continuous wavelet transform, CWT. I need to replicate these results in Python. Searching different libraries, I notice that none of them have implemented cwt for this type of wavelets. I don't understand the theoretical reason behind it. Is there any progress on this? Could they be implemented in the CWT? Thank you!

Hi, @Yecaergi! I cannot speak for the greater scientific wavelets community on the question of why wavelets libraries have not implemented the Daubechies wavelet for CWT in particular (I would have recommended looking through SciPy's signal subpackage instead, which I guess is deprecated and points to PyWavelets as of now), but I would like to point that nowadays PyWavelets is in maintenance mode to support its dependents; it does not plan to add new enhancements or features besides documentation upkeep and fixes for outstanding bugs. It looks like this has been a previously requested and much-sought feature, though – please refer to gh-365 for more information.
