At the moment the Soviet (and early Russian) Navy is lacking a naval minesweeping helicopter. Ka-25BT were famously used in 1974 Suez Canal Clearance Operation. They were also used to clear the Red Sea from the Libya's mines in 1984.

Re "At the moment the Soviet (and early Russian) Navy is lacking a naval minesweeping helicopter.": as far as I know, during the Soviet era, the Mi-14BT Haze B - 1984 (Mine Sweeper) was used for that task. land based though. image
