Mina eksplodira kada akustično polje broda (cilja) oko mine zadovolji parametre neusmerenog hidrofona, glavnog usmerenog hidrofona, pomoćnog usmerenog hidrofona te elektronskih sklopova u jedinici za obradu signala u pogledu osetljivosti, frekventnih karakterisitika, trajanja.
