Hey there,
just to mention that the actual source is: China Maritime Report No. 32: The PCH191 Modular Long-Range Rocket Launcher: Reshaping the PLA Army's Role in a Cross-Strait Campaign (PDF)
Cheers

The figures in the chart refer to the data of the export version of the weapon series. Selfuse versions are supposed to have a longer range
Duplicate of #1978
@PygmalionOfCyprus Wait, you closed the self used version of the 750mm tactical missile, then what range of this missile will PLAGF get? Will it still be 500km?
Oh, I see, this is meant for the domestic use version.
Usually with domestic/export distinctions unless we have a specific number for the domestic version we just give them the export specs until we learn otherwise. A lot of weapon systems probably perform better domestically than their officially published export specs, but it would lead to a real mess of creating different versions that may or may not actually exist.
If we can get a CCTV piece or something saying that their 750mm missile goes "more than X km" or something we can take that and run with it. Though considering we haven't even seen the 750mm rocket in service with the PLA yet (only implied) that might be a bit.
In fact, in photos released by Chinese state media, PLAGF's PCH-191 is already equipped with 750mm tactical missiles.

In fact, we can apply data similar to the FD480 9K720 missile and DF-12 can find that the FD480 and the latter two weapons compared to the same specifications, so the FD480 for domestic use version is able to reach a range of 480KM. We refer to the data of the Turkish tayfun missile, whose technology originated from the Chinese WS-1, and can find that the range of the same type of Turkish missile can even reach 560KM under similar specifications. We all know that there is a clear gap between the weapons in foreign trade and the self-use type, so I cannot understand choosing only a range of 280KM on this weapon without acknowledging that it has a range of 480KM. https://missilethreat.csis.org/missile/df-12/ https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/9K720_Iskander https://www.aa.com.tr/en/turkiye/turkish-defense-giant-successfully-tests-ballistic-missile-tayfun/2903920

It is essentially impossible to get information from Chinese state-affiliated media about the range of certain weapons. This is why OSINT and website like SDF are particularly important. "Collect - Sift - Obtain valuable information - Form sound inferences"
In the case of the PLAGF self-used 750mm TBM, there was already enough discussion last November. I thought you'd already seen this stuff, as someone who also gets information from the SDF.

For the self-used version of the FD480, the mainstream view is no less than 500km firing range. Considering that the Tayfun missile quoted above is capable of reaching a range of 560km derived from early Chinese long-range rocket technology, I would like to perhaps increase the maximum range to 600km.
What do you think? @PygmalionOfCyprus
Wow, thanks guys. I totally dropped the ball on this one. I hadn't seen the SDF thread and didn't realize the Chinese had A. released photos of the 750mm in service and B. that we had reasonable estimates on range based on the Tayfun lineage.

This makes sense to me. I'll make the necessary additions.
