El sonar activo/pasivo DUUA-2A se trata de un sonar de barrido direc- cional, con un alcance aproximado deunos 25 kilómetros en escucha activa. Este equipo se emplea para determinar exactamente la posición y distancia del objetivo en la ultima fase del ataque También se utiliza para la interpretación de las ondas sonoras, la comunicación submarina y el análisis del fondo mari- no. Para cubrir el ángulo muerto poste- rior del buque, este. sonar comparte de forma automática las transmisiones con el DUUA-2B.
The DUUA-2A active/passive sonar is a directional scanning sonar, with an approximate range of about 25 kilometers in active listening. This equipment is used to accurately determine the position and distance of the target in the last phase of the attack. It is also used for the interpretation of sound waves, underwater communication and analysis of the seabed. To cover the rear dead angle of the ship, this. sonar automatically shares transmissions with the DUUA-2B.
