-swap out original X-band PESA 9S36 Chairback FCR with new jam-resistant AESA S-band FCR on each TELAR (max range of 130km for a Mig-29 size target (~3m2). Operates in full S-band spectrum (NATO E/F band 2-4 GHZ), FCR has 90 degree FoV in azimuth and 60 degree elevation in terminal mode, and 360 degree azimuthal scanning in forward observation mode.
-add IR tracking/fire control camera with 20nm max range (40km) for mig-29 IR signature target
-add I-band ARH seeker to missile with 10nm range and ECCM (similar to 9m96D)
-add 3 way datalink between FCR/IR CAM/ARH Seeker, midcourse guidance, home on jam ability to missiles (similar to r-77/aim-120/40n6/9m6d)
-keep original TV cam target tracker with 140km/80nm range as with original BUK-m1-2 and buk-m3
-add 4 TELAR vehicles (16 missiles total)
NOTE: no visual confirmation it is in active service in Belarus, but very likely so in limited numbers. Contracts have been signed for delivery to Algeria and Azerbaijan in the future. Hence the hypothetical label for now
Mounts
-4 missiles per TELAR (9M318 missiles with I-band ARH seeker) (Add 4 Telars)
-1 AESA S-band (NATO E/F band) FCR per TELAR (70nm range) with ECCM/high jamming immunity
-1 IR target tracker/fire control cam per TELAR (20nm range)
missile updates:
-Rename missile to 9M318
-Increase maximum target speed to 1350 m/s (mach 3.8) for missiles
SEEKER USED is mechanically steered PESA (with 10nm range and 45 degree FoV similar to AIM-120C and 9M96D)
-Add midcourse update, 3 way datalink to missile so FCR, seeker alone, IR fire control camera or all 3 in combination can be used to guide missile towards a target
-home on jam ability
Everything else remains the same for missile specs:
max target range - 70km
max targets engaged targets - 6 (similar to buk-m2)
max target ceiling - 25km
Min target ceiling - 0.015km
Max g force of missile - 25g
Max engagement range EMCOM active - 70km
Max engagement range EMCOM passive - 40km
only changes for sensors is the new S-band AESA FCR with a 130km range, and adding additional IR target tracker/fire control camera with 20nm range, and pesa I-band ARH seeker with 10nm range. changes for missile include extending max range to 70km/37nm and max target speed to 1350m/s (2624 kts)
System can operate without FCR/engagement radar in passive mode, using only IR/TV target tracking cam to guide missiles at a maximum range of 21nm (40km) Max engagement range using radar = 70km, using passive mode = 40km.In passive mode, TV cam can detect targets at a max range of 140km and IR fire control cam is able to guide missiles to a target at a max range of 40km.
