The AIM-120D3 doesn't get range out of better booster performance- it gets it out of better trajectory shaping and flight paths combined with lighter components.

But does the present AIM-120D P3I.4 refer to AIM-120C-8？AIM-120D-3, IMO, should be a new weapon, not a replacement.
