John Marshall was converted to a special mission submarine too. https://twitter.com/MikiAV8BHarrier/status/1729562439224537516 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/USS_John_Marshall
The Navy Seals movie (1990) should have used one of those instead of USS Nyack. :P

I thought I referred to John Marshall as well as Sam Houston being fitted for Special Missions with DDS installed.
You totally did. My mistake!

To comply with SALT II treaty limitations as the Ohio-class ballistic missile submarines entered service, in the early 1980s the Ethan Allens were refitted and officially designated SSNs (fast attack submarines), but often referred to as a "slow approach". Their missile fire control systems were removed and the missile tubes were filled with concrete. Sam Houston and John Marshall were further converted to carry SEALs or other Special Operations Forces, accommodating 67 troops each with dry deck shelters to accommodate SEAL Delivery Vehicles or other equipment.
1985, Sam Houston, John Marshall: + double DDS, accommodation for 67 SEALs, SDV
