"The contract will oversee, in the framework of the Aster missiles Mid-Life Update (MLU) for UK, the conversion of Aster 30 warheads to Aster 30 B1 Naval UK standard: autopilot software development and logistics updates, whilst the munition assembly will take place in UK premises, at Defence Munition Gosport (DMG)."

"SV-E Cap 1 also includes an upgrade to Sea Viper’s primary sensor, the [Sampson Multi-Function Radar] (MFR), which will undergo major obsolescence management and a significant upgrade to facilitate the growing ASBMD capability requirement."

"It has been reported that Daring reached her design speed of 29 knots (54 km/h) in 70 seconds and achieved a speed of 31.5 knots (58 km/h) in 120 seconds during sea-trials in August 2007."
