All French Jag A: DB3k Aircraft 1288, 3020, 3024, 1900, 90, 2870, 1286; CWDB 2864
Hypothetical
No
Name
Jaguar A
Country
France
Service
Air Force
In Commission
1973-2001
Number in Service
80x, falling to 30x
Sensors
Remove TAV-38 laser rangefinder
Mounts
No response
Loadout Options
Remove all ATLIS loadouts from 1900, 90, 2870, 1286 - Only the final 30 Jags got the wiring for ATLIS, so none of the early ones should carry them.
Other Changes
The first eighty Jaguar As produced (A.1 to A.80) did not have the TAV-38, which was actually a spin-off from the Jaguar M programme. Apparently, although I have no source, 50 of these (A.1 to A.50) were subsequently refitted with the laser. At least one of the un-refitted ones was still flying in 2000 without the laser so this request is for all French Jags.
Note the short bump under the nose, without the lens on the front.
1975/1976 is about right for the first of the laser fitted ones, I think (A.1 delivered 1972, A.160 delivered 1981) but the first squadron was stood up on Jaguar in 1973, so the copy of 1288 should use that date. The current Jags in the database are perfectly correct and should not be replaced, only augmented and perhaps given a 'Laser Rangefinder' note.
