Deform updating error_class #439

This pull request fixes issue #431. Passed tests locally but it is going fail travis-ci tests, since deformdemo needs to be mereged the same time.

Well I thought that merging the deformdemo branch first would get the functional tests to pass, but deformdemo pulls the latest Deform from master. Next time I'll try merging Deform first, so that deformdemo pulls the latest, and we can verify functional tests there. Huh, I guess that makes sense, now that I talk it through.
