@KylerFrazier and @Chriscrosser3310 plz let me know if the Google Form -> Mailchimp integration works. If that works we might not need to embed.
@TDHTTTT The integration seems to always require a 3rd party app (eg. Zapier), which is also not free for long-term use.
@omarcostahamido this is what I meant last meeting, which makes it easier for people to sign up newsletter.
@Chriscrosser3310 I'd say if we can avoid another fragile dependance, the better.
@TDHTTTT isn't the website already linking to a mailchimp signup form? I'm not saying no to your suggestion. Make a PR to see how it looks like.
Again, I don't know mailchimp, and I will also defer the decision on member engagement/management to @KylerFrazier . It seems to me that there is still some confusion on how to manage the UCI club members and the people that are signed up for the newsletter (which can be non UCI members). If the two forms is too much to handle then by all means do make a single unified form.
Though, one has to still keep in mind that we must be able to keep track of the people that signed up that are UCI students or not. So...
So mailchimp provides a form to embed (documentation). Is it worthwhile to directly embed those on our website?
This touches upon the issue that @KylerFrazier and I want to make it easier to sign up newsletter. Now on our Membership Form asks for if they want to subscribe but in order to actually subscribe them to our mailchimp newsletter we have to manually copy those. So if we direct people to our website for signing up would save some labour.
