Make website mobile friendly #88

As of right now, the website components are not working well on mobile. See especially the join page and events page.

as of right now, on the homepage the problem is the fixed width of the about us text, and the 2 side by side images on the hackathons and conferences. Detected this while working on #89

The home page still doesn't look too great on mobile. Especially the top part of the page. I also noticed that the navigation bar at the top doesn't scale properly only on the home page. The other pages look fine
