This pull request contains many modifications for workshop 9. It addresses important issues with linearity and clarity that had been already raised by presenters and participants in this workshop.
In summary, it introduces simple concepts of matrix algebra, that progressively build on matrices and association matrices to then integrate a few commonly used distance coefficients and data transformation practices before the discussion about hierarchical clustering methods.
I added a new challenge, cleaned the presentation and added presenter notes.
Two parts need attention in the future to add equations and some representations of the algorithms: the hierarchical clustering and the nMDS portions.
This part is going to be instructed by me and I authorize its merge.
I am following up with a PR containing the translation for the francophone portion and will assign the presenters as reviewers to allow them to choose whether they would like to incorporate these changes into the presentation before presenting next week's workshop.
