It would be convenient to add a more sophisticated .gitignore to the repository. I suggest using https://www.toptal.com/developers/gitignore/ to generate the .gitignore file with at least the search parameters:

Julia
Windows
macOS
Linux
vs
Git
vim
emacs

Don't forget vsc. I think, this is mainly used in our group.
