Allowing the user to specify a custom application icon

When building the project oneself, it is easy to change Qalculate's application icon. One can also use a resource editor to modify a pre-built executable upon each release.

Does Qalculate directly offer any mechanism to change its app icon? If not, would it be a reasonable request to allow the user to specify a custom application icon?

It is also possible to create a desktop shortcut and change the icon of the shortcut. I don't know why the user is not allowed to change the icon of the shortcut created by the installer.
