unable to type after typing a shortcut

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Type a shortcut
2.
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I expect my shortcut to be expanded. However, nothing actually happens, and I 
will not be able to type anything in any window until I kill autokey-gtk.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Autokey 0.71.3.

Please let me know if there is any additional data I can gather when this 
occurs.
