Long delay or hang when saving a script #99

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Modify a script
2. Click Save

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I expect it to save almost instantly. Many times it is a 1-5 second delay; 
other times it hangs indefinitely and must be force quit.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
0.71.0 on Ubuntu 10.10

this bug for further debugging... thanks :)
