Thanks for your wonderful work.

I have some questions about the semantic field s in your paper. Why should the partial derivative ∂s/∂d meet the desired requirement (smooth inside but a rapid change at the boundary) rather than the function s? Thanks!

Hi,

The partial derivative should be like Dirac's delta function to make the function s satisfied ''smooth inside but with a rapid change at the boundary''. An illustration is given in Fig.2 of the paper.
