Overzealous Name validation disallows certain special characters #1

Description

IN add command, name doesn't allow special characters such as "/". This causes inconvenience to users to have "s/o" in their name. In this application having the full name recorded is important as it deals with sensitive medical data. Hence it would be nice to allow commonly used special characters.
