There is no 'Load' feature outside of the hotkey. #466

Hello, ive recently downloaded the newest version of the program and found it
quite hard to upload pictures. Not because the ‘load’ feature wasn’t
there, its just because i couldn’t find it.
I recommend that you create a tutorial on how to use the program and how to use
the features like load for example.
I would suggest implementing it on the feature bar at the bottom as this is the
first port of call for people that do not know how to use the program. At the
bottom of the page there are a number of features on the toolbar.
It could be usefull if the LOAD feature was there instead of it just being a
shortkey.
Please forgive me if its there and ive not found it, but to this day without
pressing F3 i could not locate the load button. Its simple to create because
youve already got the code in the program to open up the users directory with
the hotkey. All you need to do is create a button and call that command when
the user clicks it.
I hope you find this usefull, as this is part of my assignment for University.
Thank you very much for reading.

Are you saying you couldn't find this button?

Maybe the button should be more clearer as to what it is?

You don't need to apologize, this feedback IS useful for us.

It seems you missed the tooltips: When you hover a button it displays its
intended effect in the status bar, so when you didn't see the "Load" that you
expected, you could have tried hovering all buttons that were unclear.

In some skins, for example "Classic", the button is more evident as it has a
diskette. (You select skin by right-clicking the settings button)
Skins are contributed by artists who like Grafx2, but most people will only see
one, so I'm always embarrassed in choosing/changing the default:
- artists deserve having their work visible to all people who use Grafx2
- but users can miss some very fundamental function if the artist made an
unusual button.

In issue 387 I proposed an idea of improvement: On install (new or update), ask
the user if he wants "the newest skin", or a simple one which we would make
using the most classic and universal icons as possible, even if it's not the
prettiest and stylish of all.

We should stop swapping skins all the time anyway. We can keep changing the
splash screen but I think that's enough.
