Extensions patch release blocking `qiskit` PR #1436

The fix introduced in https://github.com/Qiskit-Extensions/qiskit-experiments/pull/1420 to unblock https://github.com/Qiskit/qiskit/pull/11997 would have to be released to be accessible to qiskit-neko, which doesn't install from source. A patch release should be enough to fulfill this. Do you think it would be possible before the 1.1 rc1 release deadline (May 1st)?

Yes, we will make a patch release before May 1 with that fix. Let me know if you would prefer it sooner than that.

Thanks @coruscating! Ideally I'd like to have the PR merged before April 17, so that it's out of the way for the release crunch, if that's possible :)
